PROFILE
We're a bunch of guys and girls who take pictures. We like comments. Leave them. If you like to take pictures you should join us too.

ASSIGNMENTS
Assignments are bi-weekly with a winner for each assignment being decided by voting in the comments section. New assignments are determined by the previous winner.

SUBMISSIONS
Pictures can be submitted at any time to iso400blog@gmail.com once the assignment is up. Due to Tumblr's sizing restrictions, it's recommended that you send the following in your e-mail submission:
1. scaled-down version of your shot (longest side should be 500px max).
2. link to an uploaded larger version (on Flickr, for example).
3. some basic picture info, as outlined here.
Entries will be posted with a click-through link to the large version.

Josh: Back To The BasicsAssignment: Food (Thanksgiving)Location: San Jose, CAShutter speed: 1/15sAperture: f/2.8We’re a pretty simple family, and when it comes to Thanksgiving we like to K.I.S.S. We don’t bust out with the lavish garnishes, fancy tablecloth or the nice plates (we ate on disposable plates and used plastic utensils), but one thing we do go all out on is the quality of the food.
For a couple years now it’s been this unspoken rule that my mom should do as little as possible on Thanksgiving, so I’m usually the one in charge of dinner. I made the maple roasted sweet potatoes with cranberries (damn good, considering I’ve never cooked sweet potatoes before) and of course, Susanna the Roasted Turkey (we name our turkey every year). My brother was in charge of the mashed potatoes and homemade cheesecake, while my mom took it easy and made her fresh cranberry sauce and bought pumpkin pie from Costco. Finally, our good friend Trader Joe rounded out the meal with balsamic fire-roasted vegetables and cornbread stuffing.
Like I said, we tend to be pretty simple with most things, but when it comes to food, the Chuas don’t skimp. Once you’re at the table with family, a couple friends, and a nice cold pumpkin ale, all that matters is what’s in front of you, so you might as well make it fucking good!
